Stain, Stain, Go Away…

April 23, 2010

One thing Mojuba and couture dry cleaning service Madame Paulette have in common is the belief that when it comes to the day of your wedding, you can never be too prepared!  While in New York this past weekend, Katie, one of our Mojuba girls, had the chance to visit with Christine O’Donnell, the bridal manager at Madame Paulette, and chat about wedding dresses and day-of disasters.

The most common wedding day wardrobe dilemmas Christine comes across are removing makeup and lipstick from the dress (or from his collar) and footprints or grass stains from the train.  Less common – yet more memorable – was having to send an on-sight crew to clean a bride’s dress that had been the unpleasant victim of a flock of birds flying overhead (need we say more); the ceremony was briefly delayed, but the stain was removed.  These experts really have seen it all and know how to handle any day-of-event disasters.

While Madame Paulette’s site-crews might not be able to come to the rescue last minute if you’re not in New York, brides and grooms across the country can breathe a sigh of relief by having their amazing stain removal kits on hand.  These kits will tackle unexpected wardrobe mishaps from coffee, red wine, and even grease.  Trust us – we’ve used it, and we are proud to feature these kits in our Mojuba Bride bags. They are a wedding day must-have to ensure that the bride, the groom, and the entire bridal party remain stain-free!

In addition to their fab stain removal, Madame Paulette also provides a variety of other services to brides including alterations, on-sight pressing and cleaning services, dry cleaning before and after the wedding, and dress preservation.  With all of the excitement and planning going on before the wedding, brides often don’t think about how to best preserve their dress after the big day.  According to Christine, preservation is all about how you store the dress; an old box or a plastic cover simply will not do.  Let the experts at Madame Paulette professionally clean and store your dress for you – pricing for this service varies, however, they offer free shipping nation wide.  Great news for out-of-state brides!

Christine’s best advice for brides is to be sure to relax and have a good time on your wedding day.  “After so much planning and stress, it’s important to remember to enjoy the day!”  So ladies, if you give your guy a big smooch and it gets on his collar, relax – Mojuba and Madame Paulette have you covered!
